I can definitely say it was the best decision of my life. The opportunities I've landed has been nothing short of amazing including a residency on house 559 Music and now starting up my own event dsruptn plus playing for endless incredible events.

About me

I'd always been into house music from a very young age and was very inspired by how DJ's would create a vibe and control the dancefloor. I was a professional dancer for a long period of my life until one day I decided that it wasn't for me anymore and that's when decided to learn how to DJ. I always had a strong vision and idea of the music I wanted to play and thought I'd give it a shot and see where it would take me and now I can definitely say it was the best decision of my life. The opportunities I've landed has been nothing short of amazing including a residency on house 559 Music and now starting up my own event dsruptn plus playing for endless incredible events. I definitely wouldn't be where I am now without this course. The studio has become like a second home for me and I'm so thankful for everything it has taught me.
When I met Katie for the first time it was a quite an emotional experience when she asked me why I wanted to DJ and within that first hour I knew I'd made the right decision in chasing my dreams. Her way of teaching is brilliant taking the time to understand you on a personal level and never putting any pressure on me and letting me pick tasks up at my own pace. I learnt so much from her and the course definitely helped develop my skills and grow in confidence. We used to always have so much fun because my style of music is very different from her own and she used to always say how nice it was to hear my sound. My passion for music is even stronger now and I hope to develop it even further by learning to make my own tracks in the future. Not only is Katie a great teacher but she's become such a good friend. I would recommend this course to anyone who is thinking to go down a similar path.

About me

I’ve always loved electronica and club culture. A couple of years ago, I wanted to challenge myself to not just consume but also produce music. I'm grateful to Mantas for giving me the courage to turn a curiosity into a concrete passion. I'd never have thought a year later I’d be able to DJ confidently; and two years later, I’d be making and sharing mixes and tracks to allow me explore my electronic music interests fully. Mantas’ and Egle’s friendly studio environment has allowed me to sow some creative seeds; I’m excited to see they might come into full bloom over the next year. https://soundcloud.com/mosheuch.
I'm impressed with Mantas' personalised approach to teaching and novel ways to listen to music to ensure disciplined mixing, track curation and production. I found it daunting to start from scratch but Mantas made me feel comfortable about making and sharing mistakes so I could learn from them and improve. Similarly, Mantas's approach demonstrated that creative imagination is just as necessary as technical ability and so it was reassuring that my lack of a formal musical background has not been a showstopper.

Learning from Ireen Amnes is amazing and fun. She became my mentor from my first session with her.

About me

Born in India based in London, 34yrs old was into music from my teenage but was not moving in right direction till I came to Mantas institute ''Become A Dj''. For me playing music is a passion. To sound different is my aim. As the legend says ''When you play music no fool is talking only the ears are listening and soul gets connected''. My mentor Ireen Amnes who I met when I joined this institute is the one who made this happen. She pushed me all the way to dig deep and find the music which can present my exclusive style.
Learning from Ireen Amnes is amazing and fun. She became my mentor from my first session with her, more when we had our B2B exercise session. She helped me in every way she could and she still do send me music if she comes across. Music is what she lives for. Team 'On The 5th Day' (Mantas, Egle & Katie) are people who will push you towards your success if you are working hard for music. They are always there to help form the day you step into the studio. Its not business for Mantas, Ireen, Katie & Egle - its the love and the passion for music and the knowledge they want to pass on when you learn from them and if you are the one who want to learn from them then you can't go wrong with ''Become A Dj''.

Thanks to Become a DJ, I have learnt how to beat match properly, "tell the story" when I perform live and engage with the audience to transmit my love for music.

About me

Born in Milan and London-based, Cristina started playing the piano when she was six, grew up composing music, worked in the music industry and is now focused on her strongest passion: electronic music. Her aim is to connect with people by making them dance. Her sounds range from researched deep house to upbeat, groovy tech house tunes.
Learning how to DJ with Mantas has been critical in giving me the confidence to perform in front of others! Thanks to Become a DJ, I have learnt how to beat match properly, "tell the story" when I perform live and engage with the audience to transmit my love for music.

Big thanks for Mantas for helping me to open new page in my life!

About me

I was interested in electronic music since I was teenager and always was interested in what dj's actually do behind the decks. My interest grew from year to year. Around five year ago I bought basic dj equipment and started learning to dj. After numerous attempts last year I have decided that I need someone to answer all the questions I had since I started. I accidentally met Mantas and decided to come for a demo lesson. He blew my mind completely and opened even deeper interest into the music. The only thing what I regret .... that after i finished the course I cannot handle djs making mistake at the parties. Big thanks for Mantas for helping me to open new page in my life!

I learnt a lot of technical skill and a lot about the music industry in general. Above all I've made friends for life and continue to want to grow and develop based on what I have learnt from the course.

About me

I was a competitive Irish dancer for 13 years and always wanted to Dj as I've a natural craving for rhythm. In high school I would burn CDs arranging tracks together that I loved and I would hand the CDs out to people in school signed Techno Mix. - Dj TNice (insert loads of heart doodles and stars with a sharpie pen). Fast forward to 9 years later and I was actually djing at gigs in London. Really cool journey when I look back! Since doing BADJ course I've had a lot of fun playing at house parties with friends and have also performed gigs, some include: Raw Silence with Los Suruba (Qube Project) Raw Silence (One Two Bar, Lithuania) HouseWife warm up for Lisa Loud (one of the first ever female house Djs) (93 Feet East) JackedIn (Secret Location), Remain In Light (RIL) (Secret Location) Carbon NYE Party (Galway, Ireland) Carbon Boxing Day (Galway, Ireland) Techno Tronik (The Shelter) Let's House and Techno (Horse and Groom; April) Let's House and Techno (Horse and Groom; August). Other: Mixes for various podcasts some include Deeper Sounds (now partnered with British Airways), In House Radio, and The Blackhole Sessions.
BADj was something I was very lucky to find. I came in thinking I would only need a few lessons to go from traktor to USB to vinyl - boy I was wrong! Day one I realised I was in for a long journey ahead and sticking it out was actually one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. I learnt a lot of technical skill and a lot about the music industry in general. Above all I've made friends for life and continue to want to grow and develop based on what I have learnt from the course.
