'Mantas teaching skills, knowledge, and patience were beyond anything expected. I will always be grateful and can’t recommend them enough.'

About me

Music has a big part in my life, but it was only in my teenage years that I discovered a passion for electronic music. 10 years ago I heard “Discopolis” - Lifelike & Kris Menace,“Feel The Vibe” - Axwell, and that was it! My taste in electronic music has clarified itself since then, but I always dreamed of DJing for years but thought it was inaccessible. After quite a few night-outs, festivals, raves and house parties, I finally decided to take my passion seriously.
Last year I googled “DJing course in London”, there it was, a phone call later and I was at Mantas and Egle’s studio. A few months following my first lesson I was behind the decks at The Qube Project, playing tracks that I love in front of a great crowd, words are not enough to describe how I felt. It was my dream, thanks to them this is now a reality! Mantas teaching skills, knowledge, and patience were beyond anything expected. I will always be grateful and can’t recommend them enough. Thank you!

About me

Always a lover of dance music, I came across a more underground house sound on a station on my car radio a couple of years ago, having been out of the clubbing scene for twenty-odd years. In those years I had focused on my career as a business psychologist and on my family as a mother of two great boys – Michael and Benji. So when I came across these ‘new’ sounds I thought, “What is this? – I love it!” Unfortunately I seemed to be the only one whooping with excitement listening to these fresh beats; no-one else seemed to hear or appreciate the music in the same way, so I went in search of the people who I thought would….the djs themselves. I googled “how to become a dj”, and guess who popped up!?
I had a good feeling about Become A DJ from the first email contact with Egle, where I felt treated as an individual …the subsequent meeting with Mantas sealed my fate! In that first meeting he takes time to get to know you and find out what makes you tick, as well as explain his unique teaching process. By the end I was so excited for the journey I was about to embark on….it felt so ‘right’ in every way. Mantas is a brilliant dj and a skilled teacher, who is always very honest in his feedback – I enjoyed every minute of every lesson, and found a great deal more happiness through Become a DJ than I dreamed I would. I entered their studio doors with a seed of curiosity about the DJ world and came out with a fully-fledged passion to be part of it – a testament to their style and approach. Happily the journey continues and I’m loving it. I highly recommend Become A DJ and can’t thank Mantas and Egle enough :)

'When I first started the course I only wanted to learn more about DJing, but over time my understanding of how music is made grew each week'

About me

Music has always been a big thing in my family. My father use to be on a pirate radio station and has stacks of reggae vinyl and was very particulate about the sound and quality of music. In my teenage years i fell in love with house and garage and always thought about how it would feel to be a DJ and share the music I enjoyed with other people. Last year I decided I wanted to try a lot of new things and to change my life forever. I really enjoy Deep/tech house so decided to improve the basic Dj skills I had and join 'Become A DJ' so that I could learn how to share my love of music with others.
What can I say, Mantas is a genius! He is like the Mr Miyagi of DJing. The course flows at a good pace and never once did I leave feeling I haven't learnt anything new. When I first started the course I only wanted to learn more about DJing, but over time my understanding of how music is made grew each week. I have since finished my DJ classes and decided to do the production course also available at 'Become A DJ'. I can not thank Mantas enough for also letting me DJ at Pacha nightclub as it has fuelled my love for DJing even more. I continue to attend the studio to practice and improve my skills and Mantas is always willing to pop in and give you advise and help get the best out of you. Thank you to everyone at 'Become A DJ' and all the best in the future.

'The course has taken me from having no experience to Djing at Pacha in 4 months'

About me

From Hendrix to Michael Jackson, I have a wide taste in music. But, House Music in particular has a positive effect on me, I am usually the last one to leave at the end of the night! I am in constant search of feel good infectious beats, the type that makes you want to get on the Dancefloor and Dance! With the new found skill and confidence from the course, I am able to control that effect myself, which is such a buzz!
The course has taken me from having no experience to Djing at Pacha in 4 months, I could not recommend it more. Mantas has a great musical ear, and helped me understand DJing from not just a technical, but a psychological stand point. Explaining how to capture an audience's attention through intelligent mixing, and build up and release of energy. The 1 to 1 teaching is motivational and balanced to match ability. With club-standard equipment and a friendly attitude, Become A DJ is head and shoulders above other courses.

'Not only has it taught me everything I could need to know & more about becoming a DJ, it has taught me so much about music in general and about myself'

About me

Music is the love of my life, my biggest passion with House Music very much at the core of that and of me. As a seasoned clubber and Ibiza veteran, I have always been in awe of the DJ. Fascinated by a correctly built set and the elevation of mood this can bring. I first touched a pair of decks in my teens and if someone had told me back then I would now be DJing in some of Londons super clubs, I would not of believed them! Becoming a DJ is something I only thought possible in my wildest dreams and having completed this course, I can now tell you that dreams can come true!
The day I walked through the studio doors, I knew my life had changed forever and it most certainly has! Not only has it taught me everything I could need to know & more about becoming a DJ, it has taught me so much about music in general and about myself. Taking this course has boosted my confidence hugely and enabled me to pursue and achieve many goals in many ways. Mantas is an amazing teacher, who's level of personal skill is inspiring. Furthermore in addition to the technical skills, he really takes the time to understand you personally, which helped to identify my sound and embrace my style and uniqueness as a DJ.  I cannot recommend this course enough, I have made some wonderful friends throughout this journey and I shall continue along this path as I now embark upon the Ableton course to start producing my own tracks - another dream that would not be possible without become a DJ. The opportunities are endless for those who wish to pursue them. Go for it! :)

'Djing makes me feel alive. Positive. In love'

About me

I was 39 years old when I took the course. I had no music or DJ background experience whatsoever. But as soon as my hands got the grip on the jog wheels, without hesitation, I fell in love with the decks. Like any other DJ, the main reason why we all do this is because we want to share our passion for music with the world; especially those mixing minutes when we are creating something special and unique. Djing makes me feel alive. Positive. In love.
What a great decision to start a DJ course with Mantas at 'Become A DJ'. From the first day I knew I was in good hands - he makes everything look so easy! His teaching technique is unique making the course enjoyable and wanting to come back class after class. I started my course at the end of May 2013 and by the end of September 2013 I was doing my first live performance. After that, I did another three live performances- one of them was in Pacha and another one in Cargo (Shoreditch) - pretty amazing venues for a new DJ – and all thanks to Become A DJ! For anyone looking for a one to one DJ course in London I would definitely recommend Become A DJ.
